In spite of knowing that His destiny would lead Him to the horrible death of the cross, Jesus left the palaces of Heaven to come to the very earth He created. Why did He do this? To pay the sin-debt that our father Adam brought upon us all ( Romans 5:12-19 ). " But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man "( Hebrews 2:9 )
