When the nation of Israel painted the blood of the lamb across the top and sides of the doorposts, the death angel passed over, hence the celebration of Jewish Passover every year. On that fateful night, the only thing that " saved " you was having the blood applied. The same holds true of every human being today. Do you have the blood of Jesus applied to your soul? You do this by putting all your faith in what He did for you when He shed His blood at Calvary, and paid the sin debt that you owed because of Adam ( Romans 5: 12-19 ). No good within us can persuade God's judgement to " pass over " us; only His dear Son's sacrifice can accomplish this
